The Fountains Foundation at 916, located at 916 S.Wabash in Chicago, is a not-for-profit exhibition space that is curated by its founder, Leo Selvaggio . Our goal is to provide artists with an unconventional venue for displaying their work. Set in a hallway of public drinking fountains, The Foundation presents artists with the opportunity to engage with a non-traditional public. We believe that through artistic engagement, even the banal and simple act of sipping water, can lead to transformative and provocative experiences. The Foundation accepts proposals for work on continual basis. We accept 2D, 3D, text-based, audio-based, and interactive work from emerging and mid-career artists.
